Don’t let the cold chill of Ol’ Man Winter keep you inside this weekend. Stop by the winery this weekend, January 14th and 15th, for a special treat. This weekend we will be giving everyone the opportunity to sample wines straight from the barrels (or stainless steel tanks). Tasting selections will include Chambourcin, Concord, Plum, Chardonel, and Crystal Flame (a white port). We will also have a thermos of warm mulled wine on hand for sampling (made with our Nouveau wine and our special blend of spices).

The Uplands Wine Trail is sponsoring “The Spirits of Christmas” on December 10th and 11th.  Visit each winery along the trail and tantilize your taste buds with a wide selection of holiday goodies.  Best Vineyards will have samples of our grandmother’s “Winnings” Nut cookies, Iduma’s Old Fashioned Sugar cookies and everybody’s favorite peanut butter cookies.  There will also be mulled wine for the adults to  sample.  As a special treat, we’ll also have a spiced grape juice those designated drives and those under 21 visiting us this weekend.

Don’t forget to pick up your complimentary “Reindeer Flight Enhancing Supplement” while at the winery.  The children love the sprinkle this on the lawn (or roof) Dec. 24th and wait for Santa and his sleigh.  We’ve been told it improves the flight ability in 8 out of 9 reindeer.  ** Reminder:  This supplement only work on reindeer. **

Join Best Vineyards on Saturday, November 26, at Todd Coleman’s Classic Furniture on the corner of Pearl & Main for some holiday libations.  We’ll be sure to have a few bottles of our popular fall wine, Spiced Apple, and our newest release, Blitz’s Best, on hand for sampling and for purchase.   Stop in, visit a while, browse the gorgeous furniture, sample a few wines, and receive a free reindeer candy cane.  (Reindeer candy cane available to the first 100 guests on the Jingle Walk.)   We hope to see you there.

This weekend only (Thursday 11/17 thru Sunday 11/20), Best Vineyards will be hosting a “Bottle Your Own” event reminiscent of the Nouveau festivals held in Europe.  Fremented in a carboic maceration style, this red semi-sweet wine is just bursting with bright fruity flavors to pair perfectly with your holiday meal.    All customers who wish to purchase a bottle(s) of this young fruity wine will be given the opportunity to fill, cork and label their own bottle(s).  Hurry in today before this opportunity is gone.

It’s official.  Fall is finally here along with our latest wine release, Spiced Apple.  A few grapes, some apples, a handful of cinnamon sticks, a little fresh ginger and 6 tiny little cloves have all come together and transformed into a harvest celebration for the taste buds.  This wine will only be available for a limited time.   Stop by for a taste today.

Join us Saturday, August 6, to support the Southern Indiana Animal Rescue.  Best Vineyards will be donating 10% of all Saturday sales to help support this wonderful organization.  Volunteers will have a selection of adorable pooches on hand for anyone looking to adopt a new buddy.  The group will also be offering an assortment of cheese trays, soft drinks and bottled water.

Join us for a day of K-9 adoptions and wonderful music by Mickey Clark & the Blue Northers.

The time for berry picking has arrived.  The first 10 lbs of black raspberries were just picked this morning.   Just another 990 lbs to go before we open up the field to the U-Pickers.   Anyone interested in purchasing black raspberries should call the winery to inquire about availability.

The summer concert series got off to a rocking start this past Saturday with tunes by Kevin Rees.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by to listen for a while.  This Saturday we will have the jazz sounds of Jim Masterson on the deck from 2-6pm.  Fill up the picnic basket and stop by for a relaxing afternoon of jazz, a few blues and a little rock.  The grill will be fired up for those who want to throw on a burger or other culinary creation.  Assorted cheese trays will also be available.

Can you believe it? Best Vineyards has officially been open for 3 years. To celebrate the occasion, we are offering our scrumptious Strawberry Wine for just $7.95/bottle + tax. Hurry in while supplies last.

For those of you who need to feed the Mango cravings, we will be bottling the 2010 vintage this Sunday. Yes, the vintner (and slave driver) is making us work on Easter. The first bottles should be ready by 2pm on Sunday. Stop by and try a sample (or buy a case).
